Luke 15:11-32 | False freedoms

This parable has been given a number of titles - “The lost son”, “The prodigal son”, “The lost sons”, “The waiting father”. What other titles can you suggest? Which best illustrates what the parable says to you? Why?

What does the parable teach us about the character of true repentance?

Have there been times when you resented God’s graciousness to other people? If so, how did you deal with it?

How can we better reflect God’s character in our dealings with others?

What other assurances from God do you rely on to know that all is well between you and him and that you are assured of being “home” and in the family?

Try John 3:16, Rom 8:1, 1 John 1:9, 1 John 5:11-12
