Annual General Meetings are no stranger to controversy.

CUPS FOR ALL

"Sir, — I wish to enter my protest against the statement of Canon Baglin, in your issue of Thursday, that "there is no objection on the part of our congregations to the Communion Cup." The matter was discussed at the recent annual meeting of St. Columb's, Hawthorn, when a resolution was unanimously carried asking the vestry to take into consideration the advisability of adopting the individual glass at the celebration of Holy Communion, instead of continuing the present custom which, in the opinion of medical men and trained nurses, is a menace to public health. The subject was afterwards discussed at the vestry meeting, when it was decided to bring the matter before the forthcoming synod for discussion with a view to action being taken. —

Yours, etc. MEMBER OF ST. COLUMB’S. Auburn, September 16."
